THE DIFFERENCE IS CLEAR

While traditional stairlifts are bulky, expensive, and permanently stuck to the stairs, TreadLyft Assist+ is designed for serious caregiving in homes, hospitals, and emergencies. It’s powerful enough to handle up to 350 lbs and 80 floors. No rails, no installation, no limits.

Below, we break down the 5 key reasons why TreadLyft Assist+ is the future of safe, dignified mobility.

5 Reasons Why You Should Avoid Traditional Stairlifts

  1. Permanent Installation Required: Traditional stairlifts require professional installation and structural changes to your home, making them costly, time-consuming, and inflexible.
  2. Not Designed for Caregivers: These systems expect the user to self-transfer into the seat, making it difficult or unsafe for many elderly individuals—especially during emergencies.
  3. Lack of Portability: Once installed, stairlifts can’t be moved or used elsewhere. If you relocate, downsize, or travel, you lose your investment and accessibility.
  4. Bulky and Obtrusive: Stairlifts are often large, unsightly, and can take up valuable space on narrow staircases, limiting movement for others in the home.
  5. High Maintenance and Cost: Between initial costs, professional servicing, and repair needs, stairlifts can become a long-term financial burden without offering the adaptability modern users need.

COVERED BY WARRANTY

Every Treadlyft stair climber comes with a 12-month full manufacturer warranty — no registration required.
For added confidence, you can extend your coverage to 24 months at checkout for a small additional fee.

We also offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not completely happy with your Treadlyft and it’s in unused condition, return it for a full refund — no questions asked.

  • Assist+ unit

Compact and purpose-built, the Assist Lite is ideal for fast-response scenarios like emergency evacuations or moving children upstairs. It balances weight and function for rapid deployment and transport.

  • 1x Head Rest

Provides critical upper-body support, especially during descent. It stabilizes the occupant’s posture, reducing head sway or discomfort, which is especially useful for patients with limited control or caregivers needing added safety.

  • Emergency Handle

Its placement gives the operator leverage when navigating stairs, and it typically integrates the joystick for precise movement. The grip is shaped for extended use without strain.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is Assist+ designed for?

This model is built for individuals using manual wheelchairs including children and adults. It's ideal for home caregivers, hospitals, schools, and mobility professionals needing safe stair transport without lifting the person out of their chair.

How hard is it to learn?

Not hard at all. Both units have simple fixed-speed controls. Most caregivers master it in under 30 minutes. We also provide a step-by-step manual.

Is it comfortable for the person riding?

The Assist+ includes a headrest, reclined seat, and secure harness for comfort and safety. We advise testing it with the rider before use.

Can I use this alone as a caregiver?

Absolutely. With a little practice, most users (including older or smaller-frame caregivers) can operate either model safely solo. We recommend doing a few practice runs first, without a person in the chair.

Can it fit all wheelchairs?

Yes. Assist+ has fully adjustable clamps, headrest, and support arms to fit nearly all manual wheelchair sizes and shapes.

What’s included in the box?

  • 1x Assist+ unit
  • 1x Charger
  • 1x Lithium Battery
  • 1x Wheelchair Seat Belt
  • 1x Adjustable Headrest
  • 1x User Manual

Will it work with my existing wheelchair?

Yes. Assist+ is universally compatible with most manual wheelchairs. Its adjustable headrest, clamps, and holders are designed to adapt to different wheelchair sizes and occupant heights.

Can it work with powered wheelchairs?

No. These models are only for manual wheelchairs. For powered chairs, please contact us to discuss alternative solutions.

Will it damage my stairs or floors?

No. The tracks are designed to distribute weight and reduce impact.

What are the dimensions of the Assist+?

  • Unfolded: 63”L × 20”W × 20.4”H
  • Folded: 41.7”L × 20”W × 20.4”H
  • Track Length: 44”
  • Turning Radius: 25”
  • Weight: 59.5 lbs

What is the weight limit?

Assist+ supports up to 330 lbs (150 kg) including the user and their wheelchair.

Is the rider fully secured?

Yes. It includes a headrest, adjustable restraints, and safety belts for seated security during use.

Can one person operate it?

Yes. It’s built for solo operation by a caregiver using the smart joystick control.

How long does the battery last?

  • Charge Time: 6.5 hours
  • Usage Time: ~1.3 hours or 60 floors per full charge

How fast does it climb?

It climbs at a fixed speed of 34 stairs per minute. Reverse motion is supported.

Is it noisy when climbing?

Nope. The motor operates below 70 decibels, which is about as loud as a quiet office. Perfect for schools, clinics, and quiet residential settings.

Can it be used outside?

Yes, if the stairs are safe, solid, and dry. The unit has IP54 water resistance but should not be exposed to rain or wet conditions for extended periods.

How steep is the recline during climbing?

The tilt is engineered for balance about 35°. Most users feel stable, but it may take getting used to.

What types of stairs can it handle?

Straight stairs made of concrete, tile, wood, or carpet (with moderate thickness). Not compatible with spiral, curved, or very narrow stairs.

What if I don’t use it for months?

Store it fully charged and in a dry place. The lithium battery holds charge well and lasts 1+ year (500 cycles).
